Tras la aventura de las 21 horas de bus, yo era un zombie al llegar a Salta, pero aun así conseguí ver en el día los principales atractivos turísticos de la ciudad y subir en el teleférico al Cerro San Bernardo, para verla desde arriba… Salta es una ciudad muy agradable y estando ya en Argentina, no pudimos resistirnos ante la increíble carne que proponían sus restaurantes!! Al día siguiente, tomé el primer bus disponible para Cafayate y me pasé la tarde con los dos ingleses de mi hostal, degustando vinos en tres de las multiples bodegas del pueblo… y el famoso helado de vino Torrontés de la heladería Miranda!!
Como quería viajar la noche siguiente, conseguí hacer una excursión por la Quebrada de las Conchas por la mañana antes de tomar el bus. Es un valle espectacular, con unas formaciones de tierra roja y estratos de miles de años, que le dan unos colores maravillosos… y la erosión ha creado unos cañones y formas increíbles!!

After the adventure of the 21 hours of bus, I was a zombie when I got to Salta, but I still managed to see in the day the main tourist attractions of the city and even take the gondola to the Cerro San Bernardo, to see it from above... Salta is a very nice city and being now in Argentina, we could not resist the incredible meat proposed by their restaurants!!
The next day, I took the first available bus to Cafayate and I spent the afternoon with the two English of my hostel, tasting wines in three of the many cellars of the town... and the famous ice cream of Torrontés wine at the Heladería Miranda!
As I wanted to travel the following night, I made a small trek in the Quebrada de las Conchas in the morning before taking the bus. It is a spectacular valley with red soil formations and the strata of thousands of years that give it beautiful colors... and the erosion has created spectacular canyons and amazing forms!
