ARGENTINA -Buenos Aires IV

He decidido tomarme mi última semana en Buenos Aires para disfrutar de los distintos barrios de esta maravillosa ciudad y tomarme el tiempo de ver a mis amigos en condiciones…

Así que tras patearme San Telmo y Palermo, el miércoles le tocó el turno a Puerto Madero, (el barrio de moda, en torno a los antiguos muelles rehabilitados, con los restaurantes y apartamentos más caros), donde quedé a comer con mi amiga holandesa Yvonne y dos amigos suyos... Y a pesar de la barbaridad del almuerzo (¡buffet libre de parrilla Argentina!), por la noche quedé a cenar sushi con mi amiga Carolina, su hermana y un amigo belga…

El jueves lo dediqué al Centro y Recoleta, donde me tiré un buen rato en la maravillosa librería El Ateneo (en un antiguo teatro, es la librería más bonita que he conocido en mi vida) y ya por la noche, salí a cenar y a tomar unas copas con mi amigo Santi y su mujer Paula, y mi amiga francesa Emilie y su novio Sebastian. ¡¡Fue una noche deliciosa y hacía cuatro años que no veía a Emilie, así que el reencuentro en Buenos Aires fue genial…!!

Y por último, conseguí visitar el viernes la ciudad de Tigre, con sus preciosos canales y sus casas en las islas que forman los ríos del Delta… Desde las cabañitas de madera, a las impresionantes mansiones de millonarios, todas tienen sus embarcaderos propios y sus barcas para desplazarse… es un lugar realmente encantador…

I decided to take my last week in Buenos Aires to enjoy the various districts of this wonderful city and take the time to see my friends...

So after walking around San Telmo and Palermo, on Wednesday it was the turn to Puerto Madero, (the fashion district around the rehabilitated old docks, with the most expensive restaurants and apartments), where I had lunch with my Dutch friend Yvonne and her two friends... And despite the huge lunch (free buffet Argentinian grill!), I met at night my friend Caroline, her sister and a Belgian friend for a big sushi dinner... ;-))

I was around Centro and Recoleta on Thursday, where I spent a good time in the wonderful bookstore the Ateneo (in an old theater, it’s the most beautiful bookshop I’ve ever been in my life) and then at night, I went out to dinner and take drinks with my friend Santi and his wife Paula, and my French friend Emilie and her boyfriend Sebastian. It was a lovely evening and I hadn’t seen Emilie in four years, so the reunion in Buenos Aires was great...!

And finally, on Friday I managed to visit the city of Tigre, with its beautiful canals and houses on the islands that form the rivers of the Delta... From the wooden small huts, to the impressive huge houses of local millionaires, all of them have their own docks and boats to move around... it’s a really lovely place...
