COLOMBIA - Zipaquirá

Primer cambio de planes respecto al itinerario original: ¡¡en lugar de estar 3 días en Bogotá e irme al norte, me quedo una semana…!! Mis amigos y las multiples posibilidades de sitios bonitos cerca me han hecho replantearme mi ritmo de turista inflexible… ;-))

Ha sido un día muy agradable y variado, con la excursion a la Catedral de Sal de Zipaquirá por la mañana, y las buenas conversaciones entre amigos por la tarde. La mina de sal reconvertida en monumento religioso es verdaderamente impresionante. Son casi dos horas de trayecto hasta allí, pero es una maravilla monumental de la mineria y el trabajo del hombre.

Por la tarde, un buen café con Anamita y cena con Fede en el singular restaurante Andrés Carne de Res, toda una institucion en Colombia.

First change in plans from the original itinerary: instead of 3 days in Bogotá before leving to the North, I’ll be here one week! My friends and the multiple choices of nice places close by have made me reconsider my rithm of narrow-minded turist… ;-))

It’s been a very nice day, with the excursion to the Cathedral of Salt in Zipaquirá in the morning and the good convesations with friends in the afternoon. The mine of salt turned into a religious monument is really impressive. It’s an almost two hours trip to get there, but a monumental wonder of mining and the work of humankind.

In the afternoon, a good coffee with Anamita and dinner with Fede in the singular restaurant Andrés Carne de Res, a real institution in Colombia.
